How many sessions will I need?
Hypnotherapy can work very fast, typically needing only
one session to quit smoking.
There are no absolute rules but some general principles
do apply in relation to different types of problems.
Habits such as nail-biting, hair pulling etc, can usually
be helped in 2-3 sessions,
More complex problems such as fears and phobias and
emotional issues such as lack of self-confidence can be improved in 3-6
sessions.
Deep-seated emotional issues can require more long-term
therapy in the form of hypnoanalysis which can require up to 10-12 sessions.
This would always be discussed with you at the point where it is identified
as a requirement.
Of course, this is an oversimplification and it is for
this reason it is vital to discuss in detail and agree a proposed course
of action before proceding with any treatment.
