Is it safe?

Yes, hypnotherapy is safe. Hypnotherapy is no more than the focusing of your attention on a particular subject, while your body is relaxed and your mind is concentrating. It feels like being gently absorbed in something, and when you come out of this trance state, it merely feels like you have had a relaxing nap. It is a safe, gentle, holistic way of treating the things that trip us up in life.

You will NOT be ‘under my power’, you will NOT do anything that is outside of your moral code. If I were to suggest something that was outside your moral code, you would simply wake up and refuse. The people you see on TV leaping around like monkeys or braying like donkeys are life’s natural exhibitionists, having their 15 minutes of fame. Although they appear to be under the hypnotist's control they are actually subconcously willing to go along with the suggestions, knowing that it is just acting out a role. Only about 3% of the population are really this susceptible and this is because their brains are 'hardwired' slightly differently from most people.

You will feel aware and in control throughout the session and can end it whenever you want, just by opening your eyes (but most clients are having such a good time that they don’t end it early, preferring to wait until they are gently brought back). Even if there was an emergency and you had to ‘wake up’ suddenly, there would be no ill effects, only the feeling that you had been woken from a relaxing nap.

Rest assured, I will talk to you and get to know you before we embark on any hypnotic work . Finding out the sort of things that I can suggest to you without alarming you or making you feel you are doing something against your will. We will work together to get you and your subconscious mind working in harmony for your benefit.
